Disconnect, make safe, and strip out existing kitchen electrics. Extend existing circuits for new sockets and appliances, and install new decorative/mood lighting throughout.
Detail
- Disconnect and remove existing outdated electrics in premises
- New lighting circuits with LED fire-rated downlights, LED decorative wall lighting light’s/decorative LED hanging pendants/ and a Neon artwork light/centre piece
- Install power socket outlets in worktop and appliance areas
- Testing and NICEIC certification upon completion
Timescale
This Project had a firm fixed completion date of 3 days:
- 1 day strip-out/wait for builders to extend existing kitchen
- 1 day installing new circuits cables and socket boxes
- 1 day connecting and installing new lights and sockets, and signing-off
The project was completed fully with all objectives met including additional works agreed during the installation, prior to this deadline.
Points of note
- LED lighting was installed throughout to minimise running costs with best possible light output levels. These lights have a very long life expectancy so there are minimal maintenance costs for the duration of the fittings life
- LED fire-rated down lights were installed to the new MF suspended plasterboard ceiling. These lights had to be fire-rated to give the ceiling a full fire rating to comply with building regulations
- Liaison with client/house owner and builder to ensure installation was on schedule and budget due to additional works required
- Liaison with client to determine where items to be installed so as they can get best use from them
- Liaison with building contractors to ensure all wiring was ahead of schedule and in place for new ceiling battening and plaster boarding to not hold up any other trades
