The Client
Orbinox UK Ltd, Bognor Regis, West Sussex
The Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) had been requested by their insurance company, to be carried out by an NICEIC approved electrician.
Summary of Job/Project
To carry out a full Electrical Installation Condition Report, with all relevant testing and completion of NICEIC certification.
Services Provided
- Visual check existing main three phase fuse box/distribution board at mains position in warehouse
- Check and test all Switch fuses feeding submains
- Check cable and fuse connections and integrity of fuse box and fuses
- Check fuse sizes in relation to cable sizes
- Check cable runs for armoured cables and supports
- Check all cable management of cable trays, trunking, supports and fixings
- Check the main earthing and bonding sizes and connections
- Check all circuits leading out of main fuse box for locations
- Check all circuits for damaged accessories or wiring.To check sub main fuse box and circuits
- Check all isolators and machine controls
- Carry out all relevant testing including Insulation resistance, earth loop readings, and RCD checks
- Record all findings, readings and deviations on the certificate and grade them into groups C1, C2, C3, C4. These gradings determine whether the installation is a Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory report
- All deviations listed in the checklist and deviations page
- As this was an Unsatisfactory report, a quotation was provided for the list of failed items
- Once these items had been corrected and retested a new certificate was produced giving a Satisfactory outcome
Points of Note
Work was completed on specific consecutive days to ensure minimal disruption to the client. The project was completed fully with all objectives met including additional remedial works, retesting and certification.
