NICEIC Domestic Electrical Installation Condition Report

The Client

A homeowner in Worthing, West Sussex who is selling their house.

To carry out a full Electrical Installation Condition Report, with all relevant testing and completion of NICEIC certification.

Visually check existing main fuse box at mains position in under stairs cupboard
Check cable and fuse connections and integrity of fuse box and fuses
Check fuse sizes in relation to cable sizes
Check the main earthing and bonding sizes and connections
Check all circuits leading out of main fuse box for locations
Check all circuits for damaged accessories or wiring
Check sub main fuse box and circuits
Carry out all relevant electrical testing including Insulation resistance, earth loop readings, and RCD checks
Record all findings, readings and deviations on the certificate and grade them into groups C1, C2, C3, C4. These gradings determine whether the installation is a Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory report

As this was an Unsatisfactory report, a quotation was provided for the list of failed items
Once these items had been corrected and retested a new certificate was produced giving a Satisfactory outcome
